We offer complimentary, specialist delivery across most of mainland England and Wales on all olive tree orders. Each delivery is carefully arranged to ensure your tree arrives in excellent condition, whether it’s a single statement piece or a full grove.
You can typically expect delivery within 14 to 21 working days, though timelines may vary depending on tree size, quantity, and your location—so we kindly ask that you allow up to 30 days.
Trees under 2 meters in height are delivered via the pallet network, curbside. Those over 2 meters and in pots under 120L are delivered using our private van service for more direct and careful handling. Mature or heavier trees may be delivered via lorry; in these cases, we ask that access details are provided at checkout or by email shortly after placing your order to ensure smooth delivery.
Please note that we recommend not booking any gardeners or contractors until your tree has been delivered and received.
Some remote regions, including the northernmost and southernmost parts of England and the westernmost areas of Wales, may fall outside our standard delivery routes—if this applies to you, we’re happy to provide a custom quote.
For full information, please view our delivery policy. T&Cs apply.
We take great pride in offering hand-selected olive trees, each one chosen for its unique form, character, and story. These are living, evolving trees—shaped by nature, time, and the environment in which they’ve grown. As such, natural variation is not only expected, but embraced.
No two trees will ever be exactly alike, and we believe that’s part of their lasting charm. While the images shown are a close representation of the style and size you can expect, factors such as seasonality, maturity, and growing conditions may affect the tree’s appearance, foliage density, or shape at the time of delivery. Minor differences in height or spread are entirely normal.
Once your order is placed, we begin sourcing your tree from one of our trusted partner nurseries—most often in Tuscany. For mature olive trees, you may request a pre-shipment inspection photo, which we’ll send once the most suitable tree has been selected. Please note that inspection photos are only available for mature trees and not for younger or bulk-order trees, where reviewing each individual specimen isn't feasible.
For trees delivered with pots, variations in pot material may occur depending on the size of the tree's root system.
Our specialist planting service is available nationwide for most orders. Whether you're planting a single feature tree or transforming an entire space, our trusted team ensures your olive trees are positioned and planted with expert care.
Planting is quoted individually based on tree size, access, and location. If you’d like us to take care of everything from root to soil, request a planting quote here.
We’ll guide you through what’s needed and coordinate a planting date that works for you.
Article No. 35 | Young Olive Tree (5–30 Years)
Single slender trunk supported by a stake, with smooth, pale bark and minimal texture. Light, open canopy of fine green foliage carried well above the base, giving the tree a youthful, upright habit.
This style suits use as an avenue or driveway planting, where a run of matching young trees can establish structure and grow in together over time, and works well as a budget-friendly entrance or feature tree for those wanting an olive silhouette without the premium of an aged specimen. Its light, airy canopy also allows for underplanting, and its compact scale makes it a practical choice for smaller gardens or container growing where the tree can mature and develop character over the years ahead.

Young olive trees are naturally tough and easy to care for. The key is helping the roots settle after planting.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot with free-draining soil. Once settled, it will need very little fuss.

Water well after planting. Check the soil every few days and water when it starts to feel dry. Keep the tree firmly staked.

Choose your sunniest spot, ideally facing south or west. Shelter it from strong, cold winds.

Push a finger or trowel into the soil. If it feels dry below the surface, give the tree a slow, deep drink.

Plant with the top of the root ball level with the soil. Add a 5–8cm layer of mulch, but keep it clear of the trunk.

Do not add feed to the planting hole. From the following spring, use a balanced feed only if growth looks weak.

In spring, remove dead, damaged or crossing branches. Use horticultural fleece during very cold weather.
A pot gives you flexibility and makes winter shelter easier. It will need more regular watering than a tree in the ground.

Water thoroughly after potting and let the extra water drain away. Check the compost daily for the first two weeks.

Place the pot in full sun, ideally facing south or west and sheltered from cold winds. Turn it occasionally for even growth.

Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry. Soak until water runs from the base, then empty any saucer.

Use a large frost-proof pot with drainage holes, filled with peat-free loam-based compost and added grit. Raise it on pot feet.

Use a balanced liquid feed monthly from spring to early autumn. Do not feed in winter.

Give it a light trim in spring. In severe frost, move it beside a sheltered wall, wrap the pot and fleece the branches.
